  Product Introduction

Tungsten silver alloy (W-Ag alloy) is composed of tungsten and silver alloy, silver content is generally 20%-70%. It belongs to two structural pseudoalloys and is a metal matrix composite. Because the physical properties of metal silver and tungsten are different. The casting method cannot be used for production, and the powder alloy base is generally used to obtain it.

The process is mixing ingredients-pressing molding-sintering melting-cold processing.

  Tungsten silver alloy advantages

Tungsten silver alloy combines the advantages of metal tungsten and silver, including tungsten with high melting point (3410 ℃) and high density (19.34g/cm³); Silver has excellent electrical and thermal conductivity, uniform microstructure of tungsten silver alloy, high temperature resistance, high strength, arc ablation resistance and high density.

  Silver tungsten alloy use

1, electrical contact materials: silver tungsten alloy is commonly used as electrical contact materials, used in the manufacture of electrical switches, circuit breakers, relays, contactors, etc. Due to the high melting point and hardness of tungsten, the contact point of silver tungsten alloy can maintain stable contact performance under high current, high pressure and high temperature conditions, and has a long service life.

2. Electrode material: Silver tungsten alloy also has important applications in some special electrode applications, such as electric discharge machining (EDM) electrodes, electrochemical electrodes, etc. Due to the high melting point, high hardness and good electrical conductivity of tungsten, silver tungsten alloy can work stably under high temperature and high pressure environment, and has high wear resistance and electrical conductivity.

3. Vacuum equipment components: Silver tungsten alloy is often used to manufacture key components of vacuum equipment, such as vacuum circuit breakers, vacuum tubes, vacuum electrodes, etc. Due to the high melting point and corrosion resistance of tungsten, silver tungsten alloy can maintain stable performance in high vacuum environment, and is not easy to be corroded and attacked by gas.

4. Electronic devices: Silver tungsten alloy is also used to make some special electronic devices, such as cathode ray tube (CRT), X-ray tube, etc. Its stability under high current and high temperature conditions makes it suitable for these special electronic device applications.

5. Aerospace devices: Because silver-tungsten alloy has good high temperature resistance, wear resistance and electrical conductivity, it also has certain applications in the aerospace field, such as the manufacture of engine parts and missile parts.
